'Whole to Part' grabs Best Short Film Award in Italy

Iranian short film 'Whole to Part' has succeeded to receive Best Short Film Award from the 19 edition of the Lucania Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Vahid Hosseini-Nami, the short film vied at the competition section of the Italian film event and won Best Short Film Award.

The 12-minute short film tells the story of a dictator's iron statue. While some people topple the statue and melt it into smaller objects, it keeps existing among others after the icon's metamorphosis.

'Whole to Part' has previously won the best experimental film award at the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival.

The Lucania Film Festival presents the best works of the independent cinema and wants to recognize new film talents.

The 2018 edition of the event was held on August 1-5.
